Eyes and Shoes

Had an eye doc appointment yesterday. The doc asked if I've noticed any changes in my vision, and I mentioned that I was at the opera in February and had a hard time reading the supratitles.While we were waiting for my pupils to dilate we chatted a little. Turns out he saw Romeo last summer. Called it the the Florsheim Opera. Sadly, I knew exactly what he was talking about. The costumes were beautiful, but the guys all wore modern shoes. I guess the audience noticed! Told him to look for me in La Traviata this summer - I'll be the silent one.
